I read my rss feeds through Google Reader. I like it, it is fast and easy to use. I also really like the 'share with note' button. I dislike the share button since you are sharing something without telling me why! Anyway, as a public service announcement.
NEVER SHARE XKCD COMICS ON GOOGLE READER!
Everyone who you are going to share it with already reads xkcd and 6 of your friends
have already shared it. They are wasting your time, as well as mine. (I was tempted to share this annoucement by sharing an xkcd comic.

It's almost pointless to subscribe to xkcd these days. Every single strip gets digged or posted to IRC anyway :)
Seems as if you're pointing out a deficiency in Google Reader---why doesn't it automatically figure out duplicates!?
@Samat Jain- What deficiency? Are you suggesting that for every post someone shares in their Google Reader, Google is creating a new entry in their database for it? That would be very poor programming indeed.
How about when you share a post, say XKCD, some logic is evaluated on whether or not the post has already been shared by someone else. If it has, then update the field to add another reader sharing the post, rather than creating a completely new post entry. Seems much more efficient that way.
Reader already doesn't deal too well with feed aggregators, even those that are very well behaved and use Atom item IDs correctly (NetNewsWire does, and that's part of what makes it pretty much the most awesome reader at the moment). This should be dealt with the same way.
